Do Not Arrest

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Do Not Arrest

A new law in Michigan allows the police to take DNA sample upon arrest of a violent crime.  Let me say that again.  Effective July 1, 2009 all arrested in the State of Michigan for violent felonious offense shall submit a DNA sample at the time of arrest.  Changing the current law that actually waits for a conviction costs 5 million dollars to implement.

A DNA scenario like this: Upon arrest for rape, homicide, arm robbery, etc a fingerprint and a DNA sample are taken and examined for other crimes that may link to the individual.  If a conviction is not achieved the individual must then pay to have the sample removed from the criminal DNA database.

The major questions that come to mind are; Is there a national database of DNA being created?  If so, Why?  How will this information be stored, used, sold, shared, secured, etc?  Legislators hiding behind violent crimes isn’t good enough a reason for this drastic change in the law!! What’s next?  Think about it!

Please contact your congressman about repealing this law or putting it on the ballot.  Pretty soon all arrests or police encounters will require DNA if we don’t stand against this madness now!

Kwame’s Home

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Kwame (KK) Kilpatrick’s home and we are now inundated with coverage of his trek from jail to Texas.  This morning on every local station news program told stories of Kwame’s weight loss, his Afro/beard caveman look and even the slab of ribs he ate for dinner.  Oh Yeah!  The most interesting story to me was that Kwame now has Nation of Islam guards.  WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??

Kwame goes from Executive Protection Police to Islam security guards. That’s difficult to get the mind around.  It prompts one to ask the question, “What is Kwame up to now?”  What about that new high power attorney from Florida that’s been added to Kwame’s ever changing, expensive legal team.

For those who care KK departed for the airport this morning in route to Texas for a job interview and a reunion with the famdamily.  Is the job interview with the Nation??  Does that explain the jail visit from Louis Farrakhan or the Islam security escorts from jail and to the airport?  Inquiring minds want to know these things.

If you read this blog recently, you know, this blogger wrote in hopes KK would remain in jail and that the charges Prosecutor Kim Worthy spoke of or the FBI charges would be ready upon his departure from jail.  That didn’t happen. Let’s keep hoping that justice will finally be served in the KK saga.  Or at least let KK go destroy something in Dallas.

Happy Trails!!!!!

Will Kwame get out of Jail?????

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Hello Everyone,

Will Kwame Kilpatrick exit prison in February when his 120 day sentence comes to an end?

Well there’s some kind of Synagro scandal where a City Official “A” and  City Official “A” ’s  Relative (among others) were paid-to-play by a guy named Rosendall from Synagro.  The Feds cut a deal with him so he would spill the beans on all the City Officials and City Officials’ Relatives who were paid-to-play.  Oh, we know who the reports refer, despite the A-B-C code names used in court documents, we know Kwame’s involved.  Hint: Case of Christal! Especially since the sludge contract in question is worth 47 million dollars for 7 years Totaling 329 million dollars.  That’s a clear signal to me that the Hip-Hop Mayor’s sheer genius is involved.  This situation opens the city to yet another slew of lawsuits.  All the other companies that were involve in the questionable contract and lost to Synagro.  These companies may now sue the city for whatever their lawyers can settle for.  Congratulations all of you.

Don’t forget Prosecutor Kim Worthy has been scouring text messages for months and has gone on the record with statements of other crimes committed and that these crimes are being pursued currently by the Prosecutor’s office. Wonder if the Federal case and the Prosecutor’s case are one and the same or does she have more?   The Tamara Greene case is coming up in court soon and the magistrate found (13) text messages pertaining to her death or text messages were traded among city pagers at the time of Tamera’s death.  If this civil suit isn’t settled by the City soon Ms. Greene’s kids will receive $150 million dollars from the City.

Ex-Mayor Hippety Hop has his lawyers working overtime still petitioning Judges for his law license and today petitioning the court to leave the state to interview for work.  Kwame wants to get the Hell-Out-Of-Dodge before the gavel drops and some real jail time shows up.

O.k. maybe it’s only wishful thinking on my part that Kwame goes from one jail to another.  Kwame’s punishment thus far certainly doesn’t fit the crimes he has committed against the City of Detroit.  Detroit will be paying for his Hip-Hop crap for the next two decades, if were lucky.   What an opportunity that man wasted!!!! Some say Kwame will never pay for his crimes.  People believed Kwame when he said in his exit speech that he’ll be back to run for Mayor again after the 5 year probationary period which bars him from running for elective office.  That’s like WOW to me.  How would,…why would anyone in Detroit vote for that dude again?

Prosecutor Worthy where are you?  Where are the charges you promised?

Dave Bing For Mayor

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Detroit needs Dave Bing as it’s next Mayor for the residences’ survival. That’s a powerful statement,  I know, hear me out.  Detroit is just about bankrupt.  Not many new businesses are coming in. The major industry(ies)  in this area are begging the government to keep them afloat.  Our neighborhoods are abandoned, deserted, dirty and more expensive to live in then anywhere else.  The Public School system is defunct.  Insurance is more expensive In Detroit then anywhere else in the nation.  We need Dave Bing as our Mayor!

We need a Billionaire to come save us!  Especially, after the last Mayoral Gang stole all they could.  Detroit needs someone who doesn’t need the job, per say.  Who wants the job because they love Detroit.   Someone that already owns land and has contracts in the City. Someone that doesn’t see the Mayors office as a buffet of opportunity to acquire these items.  A man who has proven their commitment to the city.  By going in, on their own accord, bringing jobs, housing, and opportunity to a blighted section of our community.  A businessman that has contacts already and established relationships in a variety of areas.  Hello these relationships can be utilized to bring MORE Jobs, housing and opportunity to Detroit.

After the last Mayoral fiasco we need to abandon career politicians. (This hopefully is happening across the county)  In Detroit especially, we need to abandon those who have been in power.  Detroit has Never been, “the place to Be” or a “Wonderful place” to live, not in my lifetime. (40 yrs)  That’s a longtime to have sustained problems such as Detroit Maintains.

We as Detroiter’s  need to support a paradigm shift in this area.  A complete 360 on the way we vote, whom we trust with our lively hoods next time.  We can not continue to recreate the wheel.  It seems every time Detroit takes a step forward (Archer) somehow we are ripped right back to the worse of the worse.   Come on people.

I don’t care if Dave Bing voted or not!! He has employed hundreds of people that supported hundreds of families.  I don’t care if he lived in another city for a while.  He made his money In Detroit the whole time.  I don’t care if we Detroiters can’t understand the Man that Dave Bing is.  A charitable individuals who feels he dosen’t have to make everyone else suffer so he can gain success.  I don’t care that people think he is not genuine in his bid for this office.  I see his running as a culmination to an American dream story.  The fairy tale ending.  Befit for the historical Obama era.

The basketball star, turned business tycoon, turned philanthropist, turned Mayor has turned the city of Detroit around.  Dave Bing has proven himself qualified in many arenas and displaying exceptional-ism in them all.

If Dave Bing does for the whole city what he did on the North End I’d be quite excited.  I say, vote for the Man who wants to give to the city, instead of steal from the city.  Let him donate his salary to the police department.  Maybe a policeman will come when called.  Let him make the Manoogian a Museum.  The only Strip Bar/Mayoral Mansion around.  Maybe it will pay that 150 million dollar lawsuit that Tamara Greene’s Kids are going to get.  Or at the very least pay for some street lights, maybe some-more bulk pickup months, I don’t know, take your pick.  Let him use the contacts he has made through his various careers to help us all.  Seems like a win/win for us!

Fed UP!!!

No More Bushes, please!

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Before President elect Barak Obama takes office and before George W. gets back to Texas, senior Bush stated he would, “Love to see his son Jeb President.”  Jeb Bush might be a bit more astute then his brother but, that doesn’t mean America wants another Bush President.

I wonder what would Obama have to do during his Presidency for Americans to vote for another Bush.

Mr. Jeb Bush Former governor of Florida disappeared from the scene, it seemed, after making sure his brother won the state of Florida.  Jeb was the one in behind the scences when George W. Bush’s controversial election depended on Florida for the win.  If, Jeb does become President I am sure the agenda of the 1st Bush has a few more bullet points to attend to and four more years may complete the Senior Bushes agenda.  Three times will be the charm.  Yes the third Bush will really do some damage in America and abroad.  There are four years before we have to worry about a vote of this magnitude.

It needs to remain in the fore-front of every Americans mind, weather it’s four years or eight, no more Bushes in the White House PLEASE!

Detroit and transportation

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Detroit is known as the Motor City.  The Motor Cities main industry is now on the way to being defunct. What will Detroit be called if the Big 3 becomes the Big 1?  I wonder if the city will then rethink its stance on not having a viable mass transit.

For 3 decades Detroiters have been crying for mass transportation.  Detroiters aren’t asking for anything more than other major urbanized area have in the way of transportation.  What has Detroit received for mass transportation?  Well, I’ll tell you in 1976 Mayor Young received 600 million for the creation of a rail transit system.  In 1986 the “Detroit People Mover” was unveiled.  It goes in a circle around Downtown Detroit only.  It cost 67 million per mile and cost 30 times more than any other transist system.  Yuck Yuck Yuck……

Fast forward a couple more decades to the 2000’s and 145 million dollars have again been secured for Detroit for a mass transit system. Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick has something to do with the funds and their allocation.  Unfortuntly, there are no feasible plans for the transit system and any prospect could again be decades away.

I’m really fed up with the transportation situation in Detroit.  If you own a car the roads do so much damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle that a mechanic is always necessary.  The bus system only runs once an hour to get to and from the suburbs, where most of the jobs are.  The inner-city system is no better the bus schedule reads a bus every 15-20 minutes.  The reality is a bus every 30 minutes to an hour and at peak times longer because of crowding.

The Detroit transportation issue is such that Roger Penske and other business moguls are making plans for creating a private mass transit option.  The system Hopes to encourage more retail traffic and more individuals coming into Detroit from the suburbs.

I am going to keep my eyes and ears open for any information as to what is going to happen to that 145 million Ms. Kilpatrick has secured and keep everyone posted.  Inquiring minds want to know.

Who Cares??

Published by canwins under Uncategorized Edit This

Hello World! Kiss

Today happens to be the first day of this blog.  I am fed up in Detroit and my blog will explore local and national politics, as well as, everything else that gets me perturbed.

The questions I explore today are:

Why does the government care if we can have a clear (digital) picture on our Televisions?

Why is the government considering an upgrade of the internet, for us?

Is digital technology more important than home foreclosures? I am really curious how these two items have made it so high on the governmental agenda. Don’t get me wrong, I guess, I am happy everyone in America will be able to watch American Idol in digital. I might be happy to (maybe) pay for more internet access in whatever fashion the powers propose.  I am proud of the roll-out for these items and keep my fingers crossed that our new government will enact a plan to handle some real problems and actually roll-it-out the way it was presented.

We’ll see in Feb if the televisions go out in Rural America or not. Until then I’ll keep you posted on the nonsense of it all.
